I'm a foreign student, so I don't know much about social life in your country. Yesterday my teacher gave me an exercise that: "Make a conversation between between travel agent and holiday maker who wants to make a holiday abroad to China." Would you be kind enough to make a model conversation of that topic for me, please? Thank you advance.

I'd imagine it's not so different from where you're from. You would have basic greetings "hi/hello/how are you?" etc. Then something like:

Travel agent: So, what are you looking for today?

Holiday maker: Well, we were hoping for a five or six day stay in China.

Travel agent: Ahh, okay. Is there anywhere in particular you were looking at?

Holiday maker: We saw this hotel in the brochure OR No, but we were hoping for somewhere quiet and rural OR No, but we're looking for something in one of the big cities.

Travel agent: Okay. [looking it up on computer] For 1234 pounds you could have a six day stay at this hotel. It's got a four star rating and is located quite centrally in Shanghai.

This could continue, with holiday maker asking for more details, and the travel agent looking up different holidays and showing them different ones in the brochure.
